YÈ MA

Our team of collaborators is currently developing an immersive performance that invites audiences to reflect on the nature of memory and forgetting, both personal and collective.

Featuring an intergenerational team of artists with roots in Lebanon, Iraq, Thailand and Syria, Yè Ma explores the parallels between experiences of migration and memory loss, transports audiences into the past, and boldly imagines the future.

Yè Ma is the second major work by Stéphanie Ghajar & Collaborators, following their multi award-winning debut production Zaffé and its sell-out return season.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners of the land where I work and live.
I pay my respects to Elders past and present. I celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
