DANCING IN MY COCKROACH KILLERS

Pregones Theater and PRTT Production 2018

ASSISTANT LIGHTING DESIGNER

Created in collaboration with poet Magdalena Gómez, Dancing tells stories of resistance and resilience from brazen feminist and working-class perspectives. Paying tribute to great Puerto Rican cultural icons from Joe Cuba to Lolita Lebrón to Iris Chacón, it is an explosive mix of words, music, and visuals sure to get you on your feet. Dancing had its Off-Broadway premiere at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (PRTT) in 2013, and is now part of Pregones/PRTT’s national touring repertory. This musical is directed by Rosalba Rolón. Lighting designed by Lucreçia Briceño.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners of the land where I work and live. I pay my respects to Elders past and present. I celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
