DIRECTOR I DRAMATURGE
A new play about a couple, Em and Ben, who came back from a dinner party after a long night where they witnessed an invitee's death. But there are deeper secrets they need to face and long years of marriage they need to discuss. In a theatre in the round, Em and Ben are literally trapped, waiting to see who will be the first person out the door. For the programme,

Immersive Theatre 2023
CONCEPT AND DIRECTION
ZAFFÉ is a Middle Eastern wedding party like no other. It invites audiences to take part in its dancing, singing, and ululation, but something is missing. The bridal party is absent. Toasts to their future break down into poems of longing for all that is missing here: loved ones across the sea; places forever changed; moments lost to the past.
ZAFFÉ received the inaugural Malthouse Tower commission with Melbourne Fringe and got to run for a 2-week season in October 2023. ZAFFÉ picked up the Director's Choice Award at the festival.
